Happy Mother's Day!

We had a great Mother's Day yesterday! I was blessed to have my mother, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, and my grandmother all here at my house for lunch! (and dad and father-in-law, too!) For years I wondered if I would ever be a "mom" on Mother's Day and so every year this day is so special to me! I am so thankful to be able to celebrate it in this way!

My parents and my in-laws always make me feel very special on days like these and today was no exception. They spoiled me with a Creative Memories gift certificate, soft pajamas, chocolates, and more. They also wrote me sweet cards saying that I am a good mom. This means the world to me as both of them were/are excellent moms and to be complimented by them is a true compliment, indeed! They are always supportive of me and they love my kids beyond measure--what a blessing!!



Here is a picture that Nathan took of the kids buying my Mother's Day gifts from them. They each picked out a charm for my silver bracelet and no surprise, Noelle picked out a heart and Ross picked out an elephant. I love those sweetie pies! Ross was upset that I put my charm on my bracelet because he really just wanted to carry around my teeny tiny elephant himself. They were so excited after they shopped and as soon as they saw me Noelle said, "Mommy! We bought you a present and it is a SURPRISE! And we bought you a surprise card, too. And it sings!" Nathan had to put a stop to her story before she gave everything away! ha ha! Once I opened my "card that sings," the kids just danced and danced to it! What a joy!
