Friends!

I am getting ready to post pictures from our awesome trip to Washington, D.C.! But, I'm going to start with this one picture!! This summer we took a trip to D.C. to stay with our friends Summer and Andy and their daughter Audrey (who live there) and our friends Josh and Valerie (who traveled there, too!)

I just love this picture! We had just spent the day at the Smithsonian museums and the Kennedy Center and though it was hot, we had an amazing time! I love this pic because it captures us as a group! First of all, it is one of the only pics of the whole lot of us (including a tiny baby Ellis in Val's tummy!) Second, well, do see how we are all smiling? You'd never know it was the end of the day, we'd walked probably miles by this point, it was over a hundred degrees outside, and we were starving! The fact is...it isn't just for the picture! We really WERE smiling! That's how much fun we have together!! We had such a great time and these are friends we'll have for a lifetime!
