Washington D.C.

What a remarkable time we had in Washington D.C.! I just realized I never posted the pictures I was planning to post, so here are just a few! We had an amazing time with our friends and we loved every minute of it!

We loved just spending time with our friends--hanging out, eating, shopping, and yes, even sitting on our laptops enjoying the company! Our friends, the Braxtons, live in the area so we had a primo place to stay and personal tour guides, too! Plus, Josh and Val are expecting a little baby and it was so good to get to celebrate that in person!

The sights in Washington D.C. were amazing! Nathan had been before, but I never had so I was amazed at everything! About a dozen times a day I'd say, "Hey! There's the xxx! It is so much bigger in person!" Everything was bigger, more spread out, and more "emotional" than I ever imagined!

We loved taking the kids to the Smithsonian museums! The especially loved the Natural History museum because of all of the animals there! Ross' favorite was the giant elephant in the lobby. He is still talking about it months later!

We got to take a tour of the White House and it was so amazing to be right there! No cameras were allowed inside and we could only snap this shot on our way out once we past a certain spot. But, hanging out in the President's house is a great way to spend an afternoon!

I should have blogged about this earlier so I would record all the details, but I didn't want to let it get by without putting some of our trip out there! Big thanks to Andy, Summer, and Audrey for hosting us!
